Alumni Board

Vision

The vision of the Chicago State Alumni Association (CSAA) is to foster and grow a passionate community of Chicago State alumni through impactful engagement that supports the University in achieving its goals, and each other.

Mission

The mission of the CSAA is to engage the alumni of 91涩漫 and Chicago Teacher鈥檚 College in a meaningful way by honoring the history of the University and promoting its promising future by celebrating alumni achievements, fostering lifelong friendships, honoring traditions and building new ones. This is done by connecting alumni through university affinity, career networking, social engagements, educational opportunities, and regular communication.

CSAA Board of Advisors

The CSAA relies on an army of dedicated volunteer alumni to advise on alumni needs, how alumni can support the University toward goals, and participate in planning and executing the corresponding programming. Since July 1, 2024, a new association structure was launched comprised of smaller advisory committees dedicated to specific focus areas that are university-aligned. Below are the current committee Board Members. to receive notification of the exciting new alumni programming and opportunities, including invitations to join our board on one of the below committees when we have openings and need.

ANNOUNCING NEW BOARD CHAIR

Welcome to Dr. Richard Glass '98 as the new Board Chair for the CSAA beginning July 1, 2026. Dr. Glass has served on our board for years, most recently as the Vice Chair of the Mentoring Committee.

Thank you to outgoing Board Chair, Cynthia Jenkins "CJ" Powell '91, for two years of committed support and guidance to the evolving CSAA. We could not have reorganized and grown as we have without you!
